About Chandigarh University
Chandigarh University (CU) is one of India's premium entities, known for its educational sublime, international fame, and innovation-oriented approach. Located in Punjab, CU is NBA accredited, and it holds the A+ Grade of NAAC. It is suitably approved by all prominent statutory bodies, including UGC, AICTE, BCI, NCHMCT, PCI, COA, NCTE, AIU, and CSI, making the programs offered by the university aligned with the highest national standards. The institution is also one of the few universities in the country being part of notable international organizations like ICAR, AUAP, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, IUCEE, and ACS, which reflects the international collaboration and quality academic stature of the university.

CU was heralded on 8 October 2025, by being ranked in the top 2% of universities globally on the QS World University Rankings. With 125 places up since the previous year, Chandigarh University was ranked 575 worldwide. The university also performed zealously on the Asian front, soaring 29 places to the 120th position among Asian institutions, thereby placing the university among the top 2% of higher education institutions on the continent.
In a national context, Chandigarh University continues to maintain its grandeur. In NIRF Rankings 2024, it has been polled 32nd overall, 32nd under the category of Engineering, 20th among Universities, and 36th under the Management category. In the disciplines of pharmacy and architecture & planning also, robust positions have been secured, i.e., 20th and 13th, respectively. CU was the youngest university in India to be awarded an A+ grade by NAAC during its first assessment cycle back in 2019; to date, it is the only state-private university to have been awarded such a grade in Punjab.
Chandigarh University is the only institution in Punjab that has been accredited by NBA for a major cluster of programs, including Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Computer Science and Aerospace Engineering as well as for its MBA program. Moreover, it is the first private university in India to have the highest number of engineering programs accepted by ABET, emphasizing its high regard for international quality standards in technical education.
